Dating-App “Model” Offer Leads to Batangas Cybersex Den Raid

A suspected cybersex den operating inside a townhouse in Nasugbu, Batangas was raided by the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG). The raid occured after authorities secured a warrant to search, seize, and examine the den’s equipment. Police stated the operation was carried out on January 30. This resulted in the arrest of a 27-year-old American national identified only through an alias in initial reports.

Authorities stated seven female victims were rescued during the raid. Investigators are treating the case as trafficking and online sexual exploitation facilitated through internet platforms. The raid was prompted by a victim’s complaint, who escaped the cyberden.

A Victim’s Escape Triggered the Operation

Investigators stated the raid stemmed from a complaint filed by a 21-year-old woman, identified by an alias, who sought help after she allegedly endured online sexual exploitation. Police stated she managed to escape on December 22, 2025. She would then report what happened upon reaching authorities, which helped build a case and move for a cybercrime warrant on the operators.

In accounts shared by police, the complainant’s report described how the alleged operation worked inside the house. The report states the victims were pressured and controlled to keep them from leaving or asking for help.

The Alleged “Romance and Model” Scam

Police stated the suspect allegedly used a recruitment pattern that started on online dating platforms. The complainant told investigators she met the suspect online and was courted. She would later be offered to work as a “model.” There is a promise of earnings of around ₱100,000 a month if they choose to work with the operator.

After she was brought to Nasugbu, she alleged she was forced into sexual acts and coerced into doing regular live-streamed sexual performances on an online platform. Investigators added that other women were allegedly recruited using similar tactics, then threatened when they tried to resist or seek help.

Livestreaming Sex Sessions

The alleged scheme relied on live streaming, where viewers sent “tokens” as payment, turning exploitation into a steady revenue stream. An ACG spokesperson explained that tokens had a dollar value of $0.06. This allowed the operation to profit from repeated online sessions.

Investigators also stated the suspect allegedly tried to mask what was happening by presenting victims as romantic partners when confronted, a detail authorities see as part of the control and deception used in trafficking cases.

Charges Filed Under Anti-Trafficking and Cybercrime Laws

Authorities stated the suspect is facing complaints tied to the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons framework (Republic Act 9208). The “Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons” framework is basically the Philippines’ main legal structure for going after trafficking schemes, especially those that target women and children.

He is also facing related violations connected to the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 (Republic Act 10175). The law punishes criminals who wilfully engaging and maintain sexual activities utilizing a computer system.

Police stated the rescued women were referred for assistance as the investigation continues, while digital evidence seized in the raid is expected to be examined to identify possible additional victims, recruiters, or online facilitators linked to the alleged operation.
